Buffalo Soldiers Monument

Saves: 10
Check-ins: 4
A nickname given by the Native American tribes to the African-American regiments who fought in the Indian Wars, Buffalo Soldiers has become famous thanks to Bob Marley's 1978 song. The bronze, rifle-toting, horseback-riding Buffalo Soldier was initiated by Gen. Colin Powell and dedicated in 1992 in memory of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments of the U.S. Army.
