Coffeyville's Death Alley

The late 1800s saw some infamous bank heists carried out by daring outlaws. Some of those outlaws didn't live to see the ill-begotten fruits of their labor. The Dalton Gang is one such robber clan - four of whom were killed as they were trying to flee Coffeyville. Unfortunately, four law-abiding citizens were also killed in the skirmish. Today, markers show were the citizens met their end. You can still see the bullet holes from the gunfight in the north brick wall of Death Alley. (Submitted by Karren Pyfer)
