Strataca

This salt mine used to be known as the Kansas Underground Salt Museum. It is one of the world's largest deposits of rock salt. There are 14 other rock salt mines in the U.S., but Strataca has the distinction of being the only once open to the public. (Photo by Alyssa Redding Matthews)
