Colonel Sanders' Grave

Love it or hate it, KFC is a national fixture, which has been exported worldwide. The venerable gentleman who started this deep-fried franchise was destitute before his chicken empire took off. Now, he is the only fast food entrepreneur who is memorialized with a bust in the state capitol. Amazingly, his arteries weren't clogged with cholesterol at his death in 1980. He is laid to rest in the Capitol Rotunda underneath his bust sculpted by his daughter Margaret.
