Fort Boonesborough

This state park was founded as a frontier fort by Daniel Boone in 1775. The fort was the site of some action during the American Revolution and also the "Great Siege" when it was attacked by American Indians. As an attraction, the park has been built up with reproductions of cabins, bunkhouses, and furnishings from the late 1700s. During the high season, artisans give demonstrations on blacksmithing and pottery.
