Kentucky Coal Mining Museum

The surprisingly elegant brick building is trove of coal-mining information - especially the early years of mining history in the 1920s. Outside the building is a two-ton block of coal that was specially cut for the museum. Resembling black haystacks, visitors can have their pictures taken and made by the coal blocks.
