Description:
This state park is along the Lincoln Heritage Trail. The Lincoln Marriage Temple, which is much humbler than the name suggests, is a simple log cabin where apparently Abe Lincoln's parents were married. Modern-day experts doubt that they were married here so it's up to you to decide how authentic it is. Either way, the rebuilt fort is located in a beautiful park with plenty of building replicas and artifacts from the 1800s to make you feel as if you've taken a step back two hundred years in the past.
