Description:
This turreted Romanesque-style mansion was built in the late 1800s in the once-affluent Russell neighborhood by coffee merchant Samuel Ouerbacker. After being used for various purposes including offices, the building was abandoned and in great disrepair. Amazingly, the building has sold twice since 2008 for $1. Yup - you read that right. One buck. The recent buyer obviously plans a complete overhaul and restoration and afterwards turn it into an apartment building.
