Abandoned Jazzland

Hurricane Katrina brought the end of this theme park when floods as high as six feet washed through the park. The standing water and subsequent rainstorms destroyed what was left. Too expensive to repair and too expensive to remove, the theme park remains a haunting reminder of Mother Nature's power. The property is off-limits to the public for good reason - many of the structures are unsafe. Be aware that exploring the ruins would be considered trespassing.
