Abandoned Six Flags

Once one of the most profitable locations for the amusement park chain, Hurricane Katrina caused irreparable damage. Much of the park was underwater in the aftermath and the corporation declared the location a total loss. Since then attempts by several companies to once again use it for recreational purposes have failed. Now it is an ever-present reminder of a natural disaster that hasn't yet faded from the view. The abandoned park is dangerous - the structures have not been maintained and there are alligators living in the water. Furthermore trespassing is forbidden and police cameras were installed for surveillance.

There’s something so sad about abandoned places, especially amusement parks and public school buildings. 3/2/23
