Cajun Coast Visitors Center

This lovely, air-conditioned building is a welcome respite from the Louisiana heat. It's also educational - with interpretive displays about the diverse flora and fauna found in the surrounding swamps. Step outside the doors to see live animals native to the swamps - including Cayenne, the six-foot alligator. (Submitted by Patricia Milford)
