Edward Douglass White, the 10th governor of Louisiana, and his son, ED White, Jr. (senator and Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court), called this Creole-style cottage their home. Built in 1790 it became a National Historic Landmark in 1976. The museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the Bayou Lafourche area. (Submitted by Anna Maria and Brian R)
