Description:

This was one of 42 forts built during the War of 1812. It overlooked the Chef Menteur Pass and was also used by the Confederates during the Civil War. It was subsequently damaged by fire after the war. In more recent years Hurricane Katrina caused additional damage and due to its hazardous state, it is complete forbidden to the public.
