Fort Pike

Near to Fort Macomb but in much better shape is Fort Pike. Similarly, it was built during the War of 1812 and used by Confederates during the Civil War. With hurricanes, erosion, and damage, the old fort is sometimes open and sometimes closed - depending on the maintenance needed. It's best that you call or check the state parks website for updated information before you visit.
