The Giant Mailbox is 14 feet tall, 8 feet deep, and 4 feet wide and it's been in Newellton, Louisiana since 1956. A famous Time magazine picture was photographed here with cattle rancher Ben Burnside and financier (later turned swindler) Billie Sol Estes who was sitting in the large mailbox at Burnside's ranch. There are no nearby houses here anymore, only flat farm fields.
