Houmas House Plantation

Saves: 21
Check-ins: 2
This plantation is restored to full splendor showing how luxuriously the wealthy Southern landowners lived. The name comes from the Houma tribe whose land was taken in 1774 by the people who established the plantation. It was a film location for the Bette Davis movie "Hush..Hush Sweet Charlotte." You can tour the grounds, have a sumptuous feast in the restaurant, and sleep in the elegantly appointed inn - but don't leave without tasting the mint julep!
