Description:

While many state capitols are built in the style of the White House which echoes the Greek architecture, Louisiana took a unique approach. The Art Deco building was finished in 1932 even though Louisiana has a long history as part of the Union. The capitol doesn't afford you the view that the Baton Rouge one does - visitors can see the Mississippi River winding its way through Baton Rouge while standing on the observation deck of the 27th floor.
