Description:
Even though France exiled Napoleon Bonaparte plans to bring the deposed leader to New Orleans. Thus this house was named after the statesman due to a rumor that he was to live here. Built in 1797, it was the home of Nicholas Girod who was mayor of New Orleans. Today it is a restaurant serving up traditional New Orleans fare such as gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, and all kinds of shrimp dishes. It's not inexpensive so be prepared to shell out a good amount of cash.
