Bubble Rock

Thick forests, a beautiful pond, and plenty of giant boulders make this a favorite hiking spot. Bubble Rock itself is a giant circular geological formation dropped off here by ancient glaciers. It looks like it will roll down the mountain at any moment, but it is surprisingly stuck as a few valiant hikers have attested to by trying to "push" it. The hike up isn't too long - about 0.7 mile one way. Park Loop Rd. will take you directly to the parking lot where the trailhead can be found. Hours are typically from 8 AM to 4 PM in the winter; vehicle fees may apply seasonally. See nps.gov to buy passes and for current hours/seasons.
