Mt Battie Tower

The short, lonely, turreted stone tower marks the place where a luxury inn once stood. The inn unfortunately burned down in 1918 and the tower was built in 1929. The tower stands only 26 feet high but people are welcome to climb the top where they can see a magnificent 360-degree view of the countryside and Penobscot Bay.
