Penobscot Narrows Observatory

Maine is very proud of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge & Observatory - even naming it the "crown jewel" of the state. It's the tallest public bridge observatory in the world, a modern marvel of engineering. The bridge supported by cables is stunning but the observatory is what makes this worth a detour - the views of coastal Maine are amazing.
