Description:
Snow Falls has a story behind it, a piece of local folklore. The falls are named for a Captain Snow who was killed in 1762 by an Indian warring tribe - as legend has it. Another story more grounded in fact is about the mills built at the falls - three in total. Two of them burned to the ground. The third survived and the remnants near the cascading river can still be seen to this day.
