Baltimore Basilica

Maryland is quite a historical state, being one of the original 13. But it has another honor to claim - having the first Roman Catholic cathedral in the U.S. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was consecrated in 1821. The neoclassical building is an historical landmark but it still is a thriving parish with over 500 families registered as members.
