Edgar Allan Poe's Grave

Edgar Allan Poe is one of the defining examples of American literature. His death was as mysterious as his writings and to this day no one knows what the cause was. His burial was worthy of a Poe story fraught with melodrama. He was buried twice - one in an obscure place in the back of a churchyard and then exhumed and reburied in the more luxurious graveyard accommodations provided Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery. He is, to this day, buried here where Poe fanatics flock to pay their respects to this gloomy author. (Photo by Otilia Baker)
