Description:
Fort Carroll is an artificial island that has seen military action in the Spanish American War. Built in the mid 1800s, the fort was finally abandoned in 1921. Now, it is a refuge for wild animals and sea birds. Although it is private property and not open to the public for sightseeing, urban explorers have been known to wander around the fort.
