Indigo Tunnel

A nice photograph-stop along the Western Maryland Rail Trail, this was the company's longest tunnel when it was opened in 1904. You can view the tunnel from the outside, but it is closed off to the public due to protected bat colonies living inside. From High Germany Rd. the tunnel is a 600-foot walk southeast of the road.
