This historic landmark was built in 1793 - the home of Mary Pickersgill who sewed the flag which Francis Scott Key named the Star-Spangled Banner. This is a museum suitable for families where kids can create and fly their own banners or practice cooking in a replica of the Flag House kitchen. Because we live in the era of mass-production, we have a hard time imagining the skill that went behind making the flag. The Flag House reveals what incredible talent and perserverence Mary Pickersgill had to take on a feat of this size.
