Abandoned Medfield State Hospital

It's ironic that places of healing always make the creepiest abandoned sites. Medfield State Hospital, once an asylum, was also the filming location for thrillers "Shutter Island" and "The Box." Now it's open to the public with plenty of green grass to stroll across. You are prohibited from entering any of the buildings and guards are on duty to make sure you comply.
