Description:
The Brewer Fountain in Boston Common, donated by Gardner Brewer and dedicated in 1868, stands as a historic landmark and a symbol of Boston's rich heritage. Designed by architect Paul L. Jennewein, the fountain features a classical design with sculptures of mermaids, turtles, and fish surrounding a bronze figure holding a seashell from which water flows. Over the years, it has been relocated and restored, becoming a popular meeting point and gathering spot for both locals and tourists.
