Brook Farm Historic Site

Brook Farm was a 1840s experiment in communal living although the results were less than stellar. R. W. Emerson criticized, "…one man ploughed all day, and another looked out the window…and both received at night the same wages." Today, it is in its best form as a historic landmark - its natural beauty and wide open spaces make it a perfect spot to walk, jog, or have a picnic.
