Description:

Also known as the Elephant House, this abode is where the playwright, illustrator, and puppeteer Edward Gorey lived from 1986 to his death in 2000. He was most noted for his cat illustrations and was very fond of all animals. His fondness extended to bats and the House museum has an extensive collection of his depictions of the winged rodent. His pen-and-ink drawings have a disturbing quality to them - which the house-turned-art gallery conveys this well through a scavenger hunt of macabre scenes from The Gashleycrumb Tinies.
