Gloucester Fisherman's Memorial

Finished in 1925 the 8-foot-tall bronze fisherman dressed in oil skins stands on a granite base. It is dedicated to the thousands of fishermen who have lost their lives to the seas since 1623. More recently another 8-foot-tall bronze statue of a fisherman's wife and her two children was erected within walking distance of the fisherman.
