The eponymous heroine of this museum was a philanthropist, collector, and patron of the arts who wanted everyone to share in her love for the beauty she found from all over the world. Her museum, opened in 1903, was designed to emulate a Venetian palace. In fact, the museum's most famous painting, The Rape of Europa, is by one of Venice's finest - Titian, the artist renowned for painting women with auburn "Titian" hair. (Photo by @corinnedecost)
