John Harvard Lucky Shoe

No one knows what John Harvard actually looked like so no one is really sure the statue is of John Harvard. But it is probably one of the most superstitious symbols on campus and is noted for the tip of his left shoe being conspicuously gold and shiny, although the rest of the statue remains dark with oxidation. The shoe may gleam but it's actually not very sanitary and people are warned not to touch it. The statue with his shoe is a favorite place for undergrad males to urinate.
