Description:

Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts began as Howe's Tavern in 1716 and grew into one of the oldest continuously operating inns in the United States. The inn gained national fame after Henry Wadsworth Longfellow visited in 1862 and later published Tales of a Wayside Inn, which celebrated its historic charm. Today it remains a preserved colonial landmark offering traditional New England hospitality. Popular dishes include its classic chicken pot pie, prime rib, broiled sea scallops, and rich New England clam chowder served with warm mill baked bread.
