Description:
This man was a military presence on his own, even though his son, Douglas MacArthur, is exponentially more famous for his role during World War II. Lt. Gen Arthur MacArthur served in no less than four major conflicts, including the American Civil War, the American Indian Wars, the Spanish-American War, and the Philippine-American War. The marker is located in a grassy street divider. Although there is no parking available next to the marker, there's some street parking in front of the adjacent strip mall.
