Every person can bang out the melody of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" on a keyboard - that is how popular and timeless this little ditty is. Little do people know, this seemingly random song was inspired by an actual event. Mary Sawyer, in 1830, was a little schoolgirl with a pet lamb who was denied the right to bring her woolen companion. This schoolhouse, built in 1798, was relocated from its original location to Sudbury by Henry Ford. (Photo by Al Ducote)
