Description:

Located in the aptly named Old Powder House Square, this large bullet-shaped tower was a windmill in 1704 but was sold to Massachusetts in 1747 for use as a gunpowder magazine. It has the unique distinction of being the oldest structure in Massachusetts which is quite a feat given the state's colonial history.
