Description:
This National Historic Site is the first integrated ironworks in America standing since the late 1600s. The facilities are reconstructed and include a blast furnace, forge, and rolling mill. The Park Service puts on an entertaining interactive demonstration, letting you glimpse the hard work people did hundreds of years ago. The factory is powered by seven large waterwheels and is surrounded by lovely grounds that are perfect for a stroll.
