Description:
It's a short distance from the waterfront and Mayflower II. On this historic site was once the Jenney Grist Mill built in 1683 which used to grind corn into flour. Before that the pilgrims had to grind corn by hand using mortars and pestles. This working mill is not the original, but a careful reproduction built in 1970. Other attractions include a 17th century English village, a gift shop with cornmeal from Plimoth Grist Mill, and animal pastures. The park is open every day from 9 AM to 5 PM with various ticket prices (see plimoth.org). To get there take Pilgrims Hwy to Summer St and go east. The grist mill is about a 1/2 mile up the road on your right-hand side.
