Description:

Built in 1892, the Three Sisters are not the first trio to stand guard. The original three fell into the sea in 1890, sliding down the cliff's edge at Nauset Light that had slowly been eroding. The lighthouses were named because seen from the ocean they looked like three women in white wearing black hats. The 22-foot-tall towers had to be moved back from the cliff and then taken to Cable Road for preservation. According to the website, hours are from "mid-morning to late afternoon." To get there take Hwy 6 to Bracket Road and go east, make a left at Nauset Rd., and then a right on Cable Rd. The lighthouses will be about 3/4 of a mile on your left-hand side.
