Whaling Museum

Telling the sad and sordid history of whaling, this Nantucket museum has an impressive if not disturbing array of whaling artifacts. Harpoons, longboats, scrimshaws, and even the suspended skeleton of a sperm whale are on display here. One of the best attractions is the observation deck on the roof which gives you a 360-degree view of Nantucket.
