Description:
Supposedly haunted, this old orphanage was in use in the early 1900s. The abandoned facility still retains an eerie forlorn beauty. It has a very dark past in Michigan's history, for the Catholic Church used it to round up Native American children in order to integrate them into white society. The French nuns who ran the orphanage supposedly abused the children and were supposedly responsible for some deaths - although none of these reports have been substantiated.
