Description:

John J. Makinen owned a bottling company and thus used about 60,000 of the bottles to construct his house. Now known as the Bottle House Museum, this abode is the ultimate example of recycling - where bottles are used as a type of "brick" to make the walls of the structure - all of them held together with mortar. A low budget stop, this fascinating house is free of charge to see.
