Description:

The tall, obelisk-shaped structure is a headframe that was built in 1919 to hoist equipment and machinery to the iron mine below it. Today, the museum catalogues the mine's history - from artifacts and equipment, to photographs and employee records. A chemical lab, blasting equipment, an engine house, and an air compressor room complete the exhibits. Tours are available at pre-scheduled times.
