Mackinac Island

Located in Lake Huron, Mackinac Island is 3.8 square mile resort and state park. The island is composed of marshes, fields, bogs, forests, coastline, and limestone formations and is an ecological system home to over 600 species of vascular plants. The island is also a stopping place for hundreds of varieties of migrating birds.
