Description:

New Hudson Inn, founded in 1831 as a stagecoach stop known as the Old Tavern, is recognized as the oldest continuously operating bar in Michigan and has served travelers, locals, and hotel guests for nearly two centuries. Over the years it became a community landmark with stories that include a rumored hidden upstairs room used to shelter runaway slaves during the Civil War era as part of the Underground Railroad. Today it operates as a casual neighborhood bar and restaurant known for hearty comfort food, especially its signature burgers, crispy onion rings, fried cheese curds, and the popular White Trash Nachos loaded with pulled pork, bacon, and cheddar.
