Description:
Potawatomi and Gorge Falls are two of the most accessible and scenic waterfalls along Michigan’s Black River, located just north of Bessemer in the Ottawa National Forest. Potawatomi Falls features a 30-foot drop over a 130-foot-wide span, creating a dramatic, multi-tiered cascade . Just downstream, Gorge Falls plunges 24 feet into a narrow, rocky chasm, offering a striking contrast with its deep, rugged setting . Both falls are connected by short, well-maintained trails with stairways and viewing platforms, including accessible features at Potawatomi Falls, making them ideal for visitors of all ages and abilities.
