Description:

These copper mines operated between 1846 and 1945 and the location was known as "Old Reliable" because of the steady stream of passive income it brought to investors. The giant lift tower can be seen easily, rising up among the ruins of other stone buildings surrounding it. The ruins are quite easy to find; they are located right off Hwy 41. The Quincy Gift Shop is located just north of the old mine where you can purchase minerals, geodes, clothing, and other cool souvenirs. The mine is open every day from 9:30 to 5.
