Quincy Mine Tour

These copper mines started operations in 1846 and didn't complete cease until the 1970s. When the mine ceased copper production in 1945, the Number Two shaft was the deepest in the world - descending an impressive 9,260 feet. Besides the mines visitors can take tours of the elegant Hoist mansions where visiting investors were entertained away from the grime and dirt.
